Instructions for SUBMISSION of ABSTRACTS

Each registered author can submit a maximum of one abstract, regardless of being oral communication or poster presentation.

The official language of the meeting is English.

Before submitting an abstract to the meeting, registration of the first author is strictly mandatory. Abstracts should be submitted via the SPQ registration site (Personal Area -> My publications -> New submission). The first author will receive an email with the access key and his/her personal access to the Participant’s Area. There, he/she will be able to submit the abstract or edit the existing one. During submission, the participant will have the opportunity to indicate the remaining co-authors of the research work and select type of intended presentation (Oral or Poster).

We intend to have the highest possible number of oral communication slots available; however, if the number of Oral communications requested exceeds the number of slots available, the Scientific Committee will take the liberty to propose the transformation into Poster presentation, based on scientific evaluation of all submitted abstracts. If any Poster presentation meets the scientific requirements, the Scientific Committee will also take the liberty to propose the author its transformation into Oral presentation. All decisions will be taken upon scientific evaluation, exclusively.

If the participant does not receive an email confirming the submission of the abstract, or his/her personal access key, he/she should confirm in the spam e-mail box. For problems the participant should contact the meeting Secretariat (12-ENCMP@chemistry.pt).

After acceptance

Participants giving an oral presentation are strongly encouraged to send the presentation at least one day before the beginning of the conference so it can be uploaded into the available computer in the room (save file as namesurnameoral and send to 12-ENCMP@chemistry.pt). Each participant will have the chance to test the presentation before the beginning of each session.

We would like to encourage the participants with an accepted communication as a poster to mount them during the registration period. Materials to fix the posters will be provided at the registration desk.
